Official Rules

Overview

The Hackathon is a 48-hour sprint to build the next generation of AI-powered platforms for competitive exam preparation. Organized under Samadhan 2.0, the hackathon focuses on building solutions by students, for students that enable personalized learning, collaboration, and growth.

The hackathon promotes the use of AI tools and services to make education more accessible, bilingual, and collaborative. Participants are expected to innovate boldly and solve real-world problems that students face while preparing for high-stakes exams.


Eligibility

The hackathon is open to all students from across India, encouraging broad participation and interdisciplinary collaboration. Teams can consist of up to three members, with no specific restrictions on skill levels, though at least one team member with proficiency in coding and software development is recommended.

Participants must be currently enrolled in a college and university with a valid student ID. All students are welcome, providing an inclusive opportunity for innovation.


Project Submission

Teams must build a platform around one competitive exam from the following:

JEE, NDA, CAT, AFCAT, GMAT, GATE, CDS

πŸ’‘ Final submission should include:

  • A working prototype or automated workflow
  • A 2–3 minute demo video
  • Documentation explaining features, AI tools used, and intended outcomes

Each Study Buddy Platform must include:

  • πŸŽ₯ Multimedia Inputs (Text, Audio, Video, PDF)
  • 🀝 Group Collaboration Tools (study rooms, chats)
  • πŸ”— MCP Integration for cross-device/platform compatibility
  • πŸ“ˆ Real-time Progress Tracking

Use of AI is mandatory – you can integrate models from OpenAI, Gemini, Whisper, Hugging Face, etc.


Judging Criteria

Projects will be evaluated by a panel of industry experts, entrepreneurs, and academics based on these predefined criteria:

Multilingual Support 25% Does the platform support both Hindi and English? Are both text and voice supported? Hindi + English in text and voice
AI Integration 15% How effectively does the solution implement AI for real-time interaction and personalization? Smart, contextual, and effective AI features
Collaboration & Leaderboards 15% Does the platform promote peer-to-peer interaction and learning through features like group rooms and leaderboards? Peer learning, healthy competition
Platform Interoperability 10% Can the solution work seamlessly across mobile, desktop, or other devices? Cross-device access (MCP ready)
Innovation Factor 10% Does the solution push boundaries and provide features not usually available in low/no-code platforms? Smart use of tech to go beyond no-code/low-code limitations

Each criterion contributes to the overall score, with a focus on innovation, technical excellence, design, usability, scalability, and social impact.

Projects will also be judged on:

  • Originality: Unique aspects of the solution.
  • Quality: Thoroughness and technical execution.
  • Potential to Solve Real-world Problems: Applicability and scalability in real-world contexts.

Winners will be selected based on total score and ranked performance.


Registration

  • Participants are required to register online through the official hackathon website. The registration fee is β‚Ή200 per team. Please select β€œSamadhan 2.0” from the dropdown menu on the registration page.
  • The hackathon will be conducted in two rounds:
    Round 1 – Online
    Round 2 – Offline (On-campus)
  • After the completion of Round 1, the top 100 teams will be shortlisted and invited to participate in Round 2, which will be held at our campus.
  • An additional fee of β‚Ή1000 per team will be applicable for the offline round.
  • During registration, participants must provide the following details:
    • Team Name
    • Name
    • Email address
    • Contact number
    • Team details
  • Upon successful registration, participants will receive a confirmation email.
